The Organic Origins of Uniquely Great Taste

The essence of great-tasting vodka lies in its clean taste, soft flavor and delicacy. Here at Square One, we are proud to have created a great-tasting, ultra-premium vodka that is also certified organic. By starting at Square One, we get it right the first time.  Very few vodkas are hand-crafted as meticulously as ours is: created in one place, to the exacting standards of our Master Distiller. He crafts our distinctive, limited-production vodka using 100% organic American rye.  Our water, drawn from deep aquifers, imparts unparalleled smoothness, reflecting its origin in the pristine Teton Range of Wyoming. Our unique organic fermentation technique combines with a classic four-column distillation and filtration method to create Square One: an incredibly silky, high-quality vodka with a natural richness on the palate. So the next time you visit your favorite bar, restaurant or fine spirits shop for a superb-tasting vodka that just can’t hide its organic purity, ask for Square One Organic Vodka. Square One Organic Vodka is perfectly suited for crafting unusual cocktails driven by fresh organic ingredients.

International Wine Cella  (Stephen Tanzer) June 2007

2004 Etude Heirloom Pinot Noir Carneros    Rated 93
Subtle nose offers cherry, raspberry, flowers, minerals and musky underbrush; quite Burgundian.  Then sappy, rich and light on its feet, with well-delineated flavors of raspberry, spices and minerals.  Offers an understated sweetness without any impression of weight.  Finishes tactile, spicy and long, with pure fruit flavors of wild strawberry and raspberry.

2004 Etude Deer Camp Pinot Noir Carneros   Rated 92
Deep, rich, smoky aromas of dark cherry, mocha, brown spices, tar and earth.  Rich, lush and sweet, with palate-saturating dark fruit flavors…good energy and lift too.  Ultimately balanced and complex wine, finishing with very sweet tannins and excellent breadth.

2005 Etude Estate Pinot Noir Carneros    Rated 90
Subtly complex aromas of bitter cherry, sandalwood, dried roses, spices and pepper.  Juicy … a lively, very fresh style … this gained in richness as it opened in the glass.

2003 Etude Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Rated 90    Aromas of currant, blackberry, tobacco and mocha turned spicier with aeration.  Sweet and sappy on the palate, with noteworthy energy to its flavors of red berries, spices, minerals, tobacco and earth.  Serious, ripe wine, finishing with firm tannic spine and very good aromatic persistence.  This has turned out well.

2004 Etude Fortitude Frediani Field Blend Napa Valley    Rated 88    Primal aromas of wild blackberry, bitter cherry and spices.  Sweet but juicy and penetrating, with crunchy cherry and leather flavors framed by strong acidity.  At once juicy and silky; this tastes like a wine from southern France.
